yey for gap!
Gap’s new creative director Rebekka Bay officially started work October 1, 2012—and in Gap’s fall look book, we’re finally getting a glimpse at Bay’s influence. Doesn’t it look expensive? And super sophisticated? And vaguely Cos-like? Well if it does, it’s probably because Bay, who helped found Cos, had a hand in the way the look book was styled and presented.

something cool arrives my way
Walter Van Beirendonckâs outrageous designs may be a little out there for your typical conservative Dallas crowd, but that didnât stop Dallas Contemporary from inviting the menswear designer to exhibit there. This past Friday, the museum opened an exhibition of his quirky and colorful designs called âLust Never Sleeps—Silent Secrets,â which are also the titles of his winter 2012/2013 and summer 2013 collections. We caught up with Van Beirendonck the day before the exhibition opened to ask him about Dallas (he said he hadn’t seen much of the city, but that he really wants âto see some line dancing, some rodeo, some real cowboysâ) the effect of museum exhibitions on fashion and the possibility of an Antwerp Six reunion.
